The Office for Archival Review (OAR) has been actively assessing the programming archives of Centre des arts actuels Skol. Since the OAR’s inception in early June 2009, coordinators Sabrina Russo and Karen Zalamea have been joined by fellow artist-researchers Emily Pelstring (Montreal), Anne-Marie Proulx (Montreal), Maria Raponi (Toronto), Karen Elaine Spencer (Montreal), and Jasia Stuart (Calgary). Using the gallery as a shared workspace, the team is conducting an investigation of Skol’s archives, approaching the centre’s history as a tangible site of interaction, exchange and artistic production. The OAR is scheduled to present the project to the public on August 15th, 2009. All are welcome to attend. Refreshments will be served. (from Skol press release)
