If you couldn’t manage to get a glimpse of the photo exhibit at Galerie sas during the Montreal All-Nighter, you’ll be happy to know that you can still swing by until the end of the week to see the show Admission by Jocelyn Michel.
Michel’s cineastic stills feature major and minor celebrities, notably local actors such as Roy Dupuis and Michel Côté. The models are captured in playful, exaggerated poses, often with lavish props. The images’ dense, saturated colours would be at home in any up-scale editorial. The entire series is infused with a charming, self-depreciating humor; I especially liked Rémy Girard, holding the “Applause” sign.
