Inner Dialogue - Richard Rossetto

Richard Rossetto’s solo exhibition Inner Dialogue features highlights of his Automatic Word Drawings series, as well as a collection of his most recent three-dimensional works. Rossetto’s unique Automatic Word Drawings are created by writing words on top of each other without conscious direction or fore-thought in order to create a nearly accidental image. His intense ink drawings are filled with areas of deep blacks which dissolve into cloud shapes suggestive of figures and landscapes. As they fade into the edges of the paper words become legible, suggesting a narrative. Even though his process of drawing is based on automatism, the artist’s choice of words is not at all random. Rossetto draws his inspiration from the writings of Napoleon Hill, Antony Robbins and Brian Tracy.
