From January 16 to February 14 in the eastern gallery of Les Territoires, Shanie Tomassini  will be presenting her first solo exhibition in Montreal. Shanie Tomassini recently finished a bachelors in Fine arts at UQAM. Her exhibition Nature molle will bring together a series of works that play with the meaning and materiality of studio objects.

Also from January 16 to February 14, in the western gallery of Les Territoires, the artist Chih-Chien Wang will present a project exploring the figure of A Helper. The project draws on several media and forms in order to weave together a world and to illustrate the act of helping as a movement towards connection.

This double-bill is presented as part of MAPPE  an exhibition and mentorship program that provides emerging artists with basic tools for embarking upon and developing their artistic careers. The artist-mentor for the upcoming Winter season is Chih-Chien Wang. The artist-fellows are Shanie Tomassini, Velibor Božović et Gabrielle Lajoie-Bergeron.
