Studio visits with Galerie B-312
Galerie B-312 is offering a series of studio visits to the ateliers of ten prominent Montreal artists. Titled VUES D’ATELIERS, POINTS DE VUES D’ARTISTES, the presenting artists will discuss their artistic practice and provide insights into their process of creation and production, all in the informal setting of their own work space.
The next visit is to the studio of Denis Rousseau on Wednesday, March 28, 2012. Also on the agenda are visits to the studios of Adrian Norvid (April 9, 2012), Sylvie Cotton (April 25, 2012), and Serge Murphy (May 9, 2012). Galerie SAS is 10 Years Old
To celebrate the gallery’s 10th birthday, Galerie SAS invited six of their artists to take on the role of curator. From March 10, 2012 to April 4, 2013 the gallery will present exhibitions curated by Patrick Bérubé, Peter Gnass, Carlito Dalceggio, Fred Laforge, and Catherine Bolduc. The inaugural exhibition of this series is the current show Possession, curated by Laurent Craste. Get Back to Sketching with Studio Technique
While strolling the corridors of the second floor last week I passed by the doors of Studio Technique, who give courses in life drawing, animation, and sketching. I occasionally receive questions regarding art classes, so here is a quick shout-out to Studio Technique – their classes start on May 14th, but you should start signing up now as their spaces are limited. They also offer drop-in classes for those with busy agendas.
