Impromptu Gallery: Banca Rupta by Mathieu Latulippe

Galerie Banca Rupta

Wasn’t this space a store-room just a minute ago…? Concordia graduate Mathieu Latulippe has transformed Circa gallery’s storage room into an impromptu gallery named Banca Rupta (the Latin origin of the word bankrupt).

The gallery space itself as well as the installation inside comprise the exhibition titled “Bien peu de choses en somme… #2”. Latulippe comments on humanity’s sense of entitlement as they settle and appropriate the planet Earth. Inside the bijou gallery space you’ll see references to vintage science fiction and utopian architecture which paint a sterile, if somewhat dystopian picture. See it, before it vanishes like a mirage.
