Galerie Division just launched its newest exhibition titled Team Studio, featuring five emerging artists: Amber Albrecht, Katie Dutton, Allison Freeman, David Laquerre, and Rosemary Scanlon.

On display are photographs, paintings, prints, and sculptures created by a group of Concordia graduates who are friends as well as ex-studio-mates. Interestingly, each artist has his or her own form of expression – there is no copying of each others style here, like you find in so many artists’ groups. There is a common denominator, though: that of the implied narrative. Each artwork suggests a story, hidden in props, symbols, or materiality. The artists leave clues, but it’s up to the viewer to interpret each piece. Hopefully there’s a happy ending.
