During the summer months the Belgo Report shines a light on noteworthy artists currently on show in the Belgo building. This week, meet Joe Lima.

“In this perpetual enigma which I think exists in my work, I explore the relationship between what is recognizable and what is uncertain. The process is always about collecting and restructuring, finding patterns in a random approach. I put together fragments of information and images into a singular space or singular object that is surrounded by black and boundless space. I try to achieve a mystery within structure, something lurking that is unattainable. From interior spaces or floating objects a single element lies within, it is this tension of loneliness.”
